Our commitment to accuracy
Reviews, comparisons, and buying guides on Before You Buy AI are written to help readers make real purchasing decisions. When we get something wrong, we correct it — clearly, in public, and without deleting the original claim. Trust is built one correction at a time, and we treat every reader-flagged issue as a priority.
How to report a mistake
The fastest way to report a factual error, outdated pricing, a broken link, or a missing feature is through our contact page. Please include:
- The URL of the page containing the mistake.
- A short description of what appears to be incorrect.
- A source or link supporting the correct information, when possible.
Every message is read by an editor. We aim to acknowledge correction requests within two business days and to resolve verified issues within five.
How corrections are documented
When a factual correction is made, we add a dated correction note at the bottom of the affected page describing what changed. The original claim is not silently rewritten. If the correction affects a rating, we re-run the affected scoring category and update the overall score to match.
- Minor edits — typos, grammar, and formatting fixes are made without a public note.
- Factual corrections — changes to any claim about a product's features, pricing, availability, or capabilities are logged with a date and short description.
- Rating changes — any change to a category score or the overall Before You Buy AI Score™ is logged and dated.
How outdated information is refreshed
AI software changes quickly. Every review is revisited on a fixed schedule — typically quarterly, or sooner when a vendor ships a major release. When a review is updated, the "Last updated" date on the page is refreshed and any material changes are noted. Small edits to reflect the current product do not require a formal correction note.
How significant revisions are handled
Occasionally a product changes enough — new pricing model, new feature set, new positioning — that a review requires a substantive rewrite. When this happens:
- The URL is preserved so existing readers and backlinks are not broken.
- The publication date is unchanged, but the "Last updated" date is refreshed.
- A short revision note at the top or bottom of the review explains what changed and why.
- The overall score and category scores are re-calculated against the current product.
What we will not do
- We will not silently remove or rewrite claims to make a product look better or worse.
- We will not honor requests from vendors to remove accurate, verifiable information.
- We will not delete a review, comparison, or rating in exchange for advertising, affiliate revenue, or any other consideration.
